The Mission
As part of a digital experience agency, we’re encouraged to explore new ways to blend creativity with technology. That curiosity led to the creation of the JingleBot AI Holiday Card Generator, a fun, interactive tool that invites people to design their own holiday cards. Users choose from four categories: holiday theme, animal, character, and art style. Each unique combination produces a one-of-a-kind card, complete with a custom image and poem inspired by their selections.
The Hook
The real magic behind JingleBot comes from learning how to mix AI and machine learning together. Working with highly skilled developers, we tapped into OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 to write the poems and turned to MidJourney for image creation. A big part of the process was figuring out the right way to “talk” to these models — a practice known as prompt engineering. Along the way, we noticed that when it came to minority holidays, the models sometimes struggled to generate accurate or representative images. To fix that, developers added reference images directly into the code to help guide AI toward the kind of visuals and tone that was appropriate for everyone. It’s a small but important detail that really sets JingleBot apart from off-the-shelf tools.
