The Mission
Gustavus aimed to break free from the conventions of higher education websites by creating a bold, memorable, and uniquely engaging digital experience. It was crucial to embrace simplicity and authenticity, using visuals in meaningful ways, concise storytelling, and immersive media to stand out in a crowded landscape.

The Hook
Moving beyond the clutter of traditional higher education websites, the redesigned Gustavus site introduces a bold, modern expression of the brand. A minimal, high-contrast palette, paired with signature elements like the three crowns and lion head, creates a distinctive visual identity. Interactive features, including the Passion Finder, help prospective students discover courses, clubs, and sports tailored to their interests.
